Parent Resources

View this year’s Parent Handbook

As parents of this year’s team, you play an important role in supporting and challenging your athlete. Some of your are first-time cross country parents. Some of you have been to a meet or two but still have some questions about how scoring works or what to expect at meets. Some of you are runners yourselves. Some of you may soon be surprised how many times you find yourselves running up a hill really quickly to cheer on your athlete! Regardless of where you come from or how much experience you bring with you, know that your athletes have taken on one of the toughest sports they have available to them. Cross country requires very high levels of self-motivation, personal strength, physical endurance, and patience. Athletes in this sport are remarkable people. Trust me, I know many! You’ll be amazed how much your athletes will learn and grow while on this team! It’s going to be a fun ride!
